Our Process

We believe there must be a good fit between the homeowner and RLC Contracting Company, the kind of rapport that will translate into a comfortable working relationship. We have developed the following process to promote trust and understanding by following our standard operating principles of sensitivity, open communication, and prompt resolutions to outstanding issues.

Initial Consultation

During our first contact we will ask a number of questions designed to help us understand your project vision, desired time frame for completion, and budget. Based on this conversation, we will set up a time and date to meet face to face and go over your ideas in a little more detail narrowing down priorities, project feasibility, and determining a realistic investment range for your project. At the conclusion of this meeting we will have an overall understanding of your project goals and a sense of our comfort level in developing a working relationship moving forward.

Design & Planning

With all parties in agreement and based on information gathered during our consultation we will prepare a Preconstruction Agreement initiating the design process. RLC Contracting Company will then begin to work with you defining conceptual ideas, developing an outline of work scope, and establishing a target investment budget. The cost and duration of this phase of the process will depend largely on the complexity of the project.

Contract Execution & Pre-Construction

Having taken the steps to establish a clear understanding of the project scope and investment budget we will prepare a Construction Agreement for execution and place your project on our production schedule. At this time we will provide you a window for project start, begin the permitting process, order necessary products and materials, develop a tentative production schedule, and provide a “what to expect” timeline for your project.

Construction

Your project will begin with a meeting at your home, during which we will review project details one more time, address any concerns you may have, discuss life during the process, and introduce you to key personnel.

Although there are a number of variables that can effect a project’s duration including material availability and weather related issues, we are committed to timely completion of all of our projects. Our personnel will remain on site to get the job done and we will provide regular updates to the project timeline so you will always know what to expect. We are committed to open communication during all phases of your project and will provide prompt resolution to any and all issues.
